Senior Programs

Senior programs include fitness, luncheons with bingo and/or movies, coffee groups, weekly card game and pool teams.  Current programs and activities include.

  • Senior exercise classes-Tai Chi held every Monday from 8-9am, Strengthening Seniors held every Wednesday from 8-9am. Small groups in a comfortable setting.
  • Movie and a meal are held monthly from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, dates announced at the beginning of month. Enjoy a movie selected by attendees and a meal brought in from a local restaurant.  $10.00 donation to pay for the meal. All ages welcome.
  • Bingo and donuts are held monthly from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, dates announced at the beginning of month. No cost, all ages welcome.
  • Smart Seniors– A series of programs featuring a variety of topics to provide seniors with information and resources.  Smart Seniors will gather the last Tuesday of every other month opposite Caregiver Workshops with two sessions at 1:30 PM and 5:30 PM.
  • Quilters meet on the first and third Tuesdays each month from 9-noon. Our focus is to socialize and make lap quilts for donation to the needy in the community. Call or text Gayle with questions. 262-215-7803
  • Chariot Rides for grandparents and children. 2024 dates to be announced.

 

The center atmosphere promotes healthy aging, builds self-esteem, reduces isolation and loneliness, enhances understanding and acceptance between generations, and develops a true sense of community. Some of our past and current programming includes:

  • Senior luncheons followed by a short educational program.
  • Senior movies held the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 1pm. Popcorn and drinks provided
  • The Wisconsin Rural Women’s’ Initiatives presents the Coffee and Conversation program for elder women.
  • Bingo held monthly, has expanded to virtual Bingo
  • Health, Wellness & Safety Sessions provided by local health professionals and the Walworth County Department of Aging and Disability
  • Low impact fitness program
  • Book Club-schedules vary, see monthly calendar
  • Crafts and card games-schedules vary, see monthly calendar
