Happy New Year! We hope you had a great holiday and are ready for the new year. This year, we are introducing a variety of new programs and activities and expanding current programs.
Special Events
Fall Prevention Program – Thanks to a grant from the East Troy Knights of Columbus, our health and wellness initiatives are expanding to focus on a Fall Prevention program in partnership with the Wisconsin Institute of Healthy Aging, Walworth County Health and Human Services, and Falls Free Wisconsin. The Program includes strengthening classes, wellness workshops, and free tools and resources to help reduce the risk of falling, which could lead to other severe conditions, especially with our Seniors.
Young Adult Theater Performances – Enjoy performances by the Very Good Theatre Club, a group of talented young adults who present engaging theater productions. Come and support the development of local talent. Watch for details on the February production, a comedy-murder mystery.
Virtual Reality Travel Club – Currently, we have volunteers learning to teach others how to use headsets. We are exploring virtual places to visit. Is there anywhere you’d like to go? Just let us know. We’ve gone to China, Venice, on an undersea adventure and skydiving! We are anticipating the program will start in early February.
Reminders
Our Transportation Initiative remains a cornerstone of our commitment to the community. We are dedicated to identifying members who face mobility challenges, whether due to a lack of transportation or the need for specialized transportation, and ensuring they have access to FREE transportation to and from the center.
If you or someone you know could benefit from this, please contact us at 262-642-2266 or iget.comm@gmail.com for more information.
