Special Upcoming Events

Summer Concerts kick off with Tim Rush and Caribbean Eclipse on Wednesday, June 17th at 6:45 PM. This group, led by Tim on the steel drum, performs a variety of music styles, from calypso classics to jazz standards.

Upcoming concerts include Eric Diamond, who will be back on Wednesday, July 8th at 6:45 PM, delivering his outstanding Neil Diamond tribute. His shows are exceptional!

NEW this year is The Sons of LeRoy, on Wednesday, August 12th at 6:30 PM. This quartet covers everything from CCR, Buck Owens, and Merle Haggard to the Grateful Dead and The Doors

Fall Prevention Program

The Fall Prevention and Senior Health Program sponsored by the East Troy Knights of Columbus, offers several free activities in June. For registration or more information, call 262-642-2266.

    • Home Safety Team offers free home risk assessments and safety improvements. The program is led by Ryan Strand of Heartbeat Health and Safety, a certified home safety specialist. His expertise supports fall prevention by increasing home safety awareness and implementing practical risk-reduction strategies.

    • Walk with Ease, a program from the Arthritis Foundation, is a structured walking program that teaches participants how to safely incorporate physical activity into their everyday lives. Thursdays, June 4th to July 9th, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. This program is free. Must call to register.

    • Chair Yoga is a one-hour class on Wednesdays in mid-June, with the date to be announced, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. The class begins with gentle seated warm-ups and then moves into standing poses that build strength, flexibility, and balance, using the chair for support. It is led by yoga expert Frank Whiting, who has practiced yoga for 30 years and taught for 15 years.

Bloom 360 Showcase

Bloom 360 Showcase is on Wednesday, June 3, at 1:00 PM. Enjoy a heartfelt spring musical performance by Bloom 360 learners. After months of rehearsal, come support the performers and help fill every seat!

Amber Exploration

Amber Exploration – Speaker Rita Dow discusses Amber Exploration on Thursday, June 25 at 1:00 PM, sponsored by the East Troy Lions Public Library. Learn how amber forms, its history and myths, how to identify it, and its connection to Jurassic Park. Bring your own piece for show-and-tell!

Pickleball!

Pickleball open play is available on 3 courts, from dawn to dusk on a first-come, first-served basis. A two-dollar donation is requested to help maintain the courts.

Community Garden Update

Our Community Garden is underway! Enjoy this great area for putting your green thumb to work or just enjoying the serene atmosphere. Plants are being planted and soon it will be full of color and beautiful scents for you to enjoy!

Free Transportation

Our FREE Transportation initiative, sponsored by the Geneva Lakes Women’s Association, continues to play a vital role within our community. We are actively identifying individuals with mobility or transportation challenges to offer free transportation to center events. Reservable Space

Reservable Space Available! Support the center by hosting your next personal party, business meeting, or using a private office for short-term use. Individual reservations require a donation determined by the user. Call for more details.

Open to Everyone

Drop-in Days:

Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Visit the Arcade Room, Art Studio, or watch movies on our 100-inch 4K HD screen or come in for some quiet time.

Bingo and Snacks:

Monday, June 8th and Monday, June 22nd, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Please join us on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Light refreshments will be provided. Remote participation by phone is also available.

Virtual Reality Travel:

No Scheduled sessions for June. Please call 262/642-2266 if interested in scheduling a time.

Memory Cafe:

Tuesday, June 16th, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. A 90-minute social gathering is held on the third Tuesday of each month for individuals with early-stage dementia and their family members, friends, or caregivers. Sponsored by Citizens Bank and facilitated by Jake Sawyer, a Dementia Specialist in Walworth County.

Death Cafe:

Tuesday, June 16th, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This one-hour social gathering takes place on the third Tuesday of each month, offering a relaxed space for open discussions about death. Join to connect, reflect on life and legacy, and help reduce stigma around dying. Sponsored by Citizens Bank and facilitated by Jake Sawyer, Dementia Specialist in Walworth County.

Caregiver Support:

Wednesday, June 24th, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Caring for others can be challenging. Join support groups on the fourth Wednesday each month to connect and get help navigating healthcare. Sponsored by Citizens Bank and led by Jake Sawyer, Dementia Specialist, Walworth County.

The Christian Community Movement for Religious Renewal:

No meeting scheduled for June.

Vote For East Troy:

Wednesday, June 10th at 6:00 PM. Meets monthly to discuss how to strengthen the local community through nonpartisan efforts.

Crafts With Tammy:

June’s craft session is making a Patriotic Bandana Wreath and will be Wednesday June 17th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, please RSVP to Tammy at 262-903-8441 by Friday, June 12th.

Exercise Classes:

Sheepshead:

Tuesdays at 1:30 PM. Actively seeking additional players.

Pool Group:

Join a group of senior men at two pool tables on Thursdays from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

AA/NA Meetings:

Quilters Club:

Meeting Tuesday, June 2nd and Tuesday, June 16th at 9:00 AM to Noon.
Meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 9:00 AM to Noon. The group creates lap quilts to donate to those in need. For questions, contact Gayle at 262-215-7803.
